Wall Decor — common questions
Will panelling make a small room smaller?
Vertical fluting and slat wood usually make a room read taller, not smaller. Full-height panels on one wall work better than panelling everything — we set out the layout before anything is cut.
Wallpaper or paint effect?
Wallpaper gives texture and pattern that paint cannot, but it needs a truly flat wall underneath. If the plaster is uneven, skimming first is part of the quote rather than a surprise later.
Can you panel around sockets and switches?
Yes. Sockets are relocated or cut around and trimmed so the panelling reads as one surface. That coordination is why panelling and electrical want to be planned together.
