How much height will I lose?
Typically 10 to 20 cm, more where ducting has to be boxed in. We measure the existing slab and services at the survey and tell you the exact drop before you commit.
Can I access the services afterwards?
Yes. Access panels are planned into the layout wherever there is a valve, a damper or a junction box. Retrofitting an access hatch into a finished ceiling is ugly and avoidable.
Do lights get decided before or after?
Before. Ceiling and lighting are set out together — deciding the ceiling first and the lights later is exactly how downlights end up in the wrong place.
